Obituary of Barry Cleghorn
Ian Barry Cleghorn was born on the Family Farm in Kinistino, Saskatchewan to Thomas and Marie Cleghorn on July 2, 1937. Barry was the youngest of 3 children.
Barry grew up on the farm and spent most of his working life driving. He had made a few trips into the US and always helped out on the farm. In 1979 Barry married his wife Linda and her and her 3 children moved to the farm. In 1984 they decide to move to Melfort where Barry Hauled fuel for Husky oil. In 2001 Linda became sick and was on hemodialysis. During this time Barry cared for and drove Linda to wherever she needed to be for her dialysis treatments which included Tisdale, Saskatoon and finally Prince Albert. Barry lived at the Weldon Care Home in his last few years and in the last months he moved out to the Boyd family farm where he was so happy to be. Barry loved to be on the farm and even if he couldn't get up in the combine or tractor he would gladly settle for the riding lawn mower. No matter where we went he would know someone in that place and if he didn't he would know the waiters grandparents and where their farm was. He had a lot of stories to tell.
Barry was predeceased by his wife Linda Cleghorn parents, Thomas and Marie
