

Florence Eleanor Warring (Nee McCrea) was known as “Bubs” to all that knew and loved her. Bubs was born near Ritchie, Saskatchewan December 11, 1922, and passed away in Calgary, Alberta on April 28, 2025 at age 102. Bubs was predeceased by her loving husband Grant, daughter Shirley, son George, daughter in law Jean, son-in laws Ben and Bob, grand-daughters Roxanne, Cindy, Noreen, and eight siblings. Bubs will forever be remembered and loved by her daughter Diane, with whom she spent the last years of her life, as well as grandchildren Arlene, Connie, Gary, Nancy (Brian), Colleen (Murray), Bobbie-Jo (David), Benjamin (Mali), and her remaining siblings, Blanche and Lois. Bubs leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who celebrate her life and memory.
The eldest of 11 kids, Bubs grew up on the prairies near Ogema in southern Saskatchewan where she met her husband, Grant. They moved to Pleasantdale and then Melfort where they raised their three kids. Bubs and Grant owned various businesses over the years including The Melfort Cartage, The Pinky Laundry, and The Southside Grocery Store. After Grant passed away Bubs opened her home to board and care for people who were referred from the Saskatchewan Health Department. Bubs loved bowling, tending to her vegetable garden, baking bread, reading romance novels, playing card games, and spent countless hours quilting. Above all else Bubs loved spending time with friends and family.
Her love, laughter and bright blue eyes will forever be remembered, cherished and missed by all who knew her.
