Obituary of Ivy Elizabeth Moulton
Ivy Passed away peacefully after he health declined. A special thanks to the staff at Parkland Care Home for their love and care for her.
Ivy was born December 18, 1937, an early Christmas gift from God to loving parents, Mary and Hedley Moulton. She became the mischievous little sister, her older brother Jacik didn’t know if he needed.
She attended Stoney Creek School through the war years. After briefly working, she entered the School of Nursing at St. Paul’s Hospital and graduated in 1960.
She worked briefly in the Melfort Hospital, but spent the remainder of her working career in Tisdale, first at St. Therese Hospital while it was still operated by nuns, then in the new hospital. She delighted in her work and the great doctors and staff in Tisdale. She was a competent and caring nurse.
Her return to Melfort ignited an old flame in her heart - her beloved horses and animals in general. She settled on the farm where she took care of her parents in their declining years.
Ivy and her friend, Alma spent many days at Taylor Field cheering on the Riders.
She was involved with the Tisdale Hospital Auxiliary and in Melfort with the Melfort Amateur Dramatics.
Later in life Ivy found the love of her life, our Saviour, Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully. She became a regular at the Melfort Free Methodist Church.
Ivy is survived by her sister-in-law, Sandra, her nephew Robert his wife, Tanya, and their sons Graham (his wife Megan and their children, Jack and Lily), Gavin and Harris. Also her niece, Mary Ann, and her son, Colin (his wife Eunil and their children, Chloe and Maeve).
Ivy was predeceased by parents and her brother John (Jack).
