Wilf (Willie) Glister was born to and predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Bertha Glister on November 10, 1936. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Ethel, Lila, Ada and Phoebe. He accepted Christ as his Savior July 16, 1950 at the age of 13 ½ yrs. When his father passed away, he was 16 years of age and he took on the responsibilities of looking after the farm and family. As finances were strained he later took on carpentering and was a great asset to many friends and family. He went to work for Hans Ekron in Melfort for many years. He took care of his Mom until it was no longer safe to leave her alone and she spent the remainder of her life in Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino. He later cared for his sister Phoebe in her final days of fighting cancer. He also kind of took on fathering to his youngest sister who was only four years old at the time of their father’s passing. Health issues forced him to move to Nirvana in Melfort until his passing. He is survived by his sister Pearl (Rod), nephews Glen (Angela), Brent (Shawnna), Alvin (Cindy), Brian (Elaine), Ron (Renee) and nieces Tina (Sean), Debbie (Marvin). He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Ethel, Lila (Jim), Ada (Fred), and Phoebe. Memorial donations in memory of Wilfred maybe made to Nirvana Assisted living Melfort, Saskatchewan.
