She was a woman who had great courage, strength and a love of life. Born in Scotland, the youngest of four girls. Her family moved down to England shortly before the war. During the war she met our father John and they were married February 4, 1945. She came to Canada on a ship filled with war brides, to become a prairie farm wife. She became the mother of five children, three of whom she raised as a single parent after the untimely death of Dad at the age of 47. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. We as a family know we are truly lucky to have such a special mother. She always had a warm smile along with her big heart, she made a big difference to our world.
