1943 mom and dad moved to their farm south of Meskanaw. Mom worked hard along side dad to make it their family home. In 1956 they ventured to Welland Ontario where mom worked in a canning factory and as a cook in a restaurant until 1957 when they moved to Bowmanville. She experienced the life on a tobacco farm helping friends at harvest by being a leaf handler. Mom enjoyed and reminisced often of the 5 years spent in Ontario and the long lasting friendships made. 1961 they returned to their most loved valley and farm.
Mom's greatest love was her family. She excelled as a "homemaker" spending countless hours gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting, attending to the chickens and supplying eggs to the locals. Her love for nature included long walks identifying birds by their song. Mom loved music and dancing along with travelling. Her travels took her to Italy twice where she met extended family.
In 2002 mom moved to Diefenbaker Place where she remained until 2011 and due to failing health moved to Parkland.
She was a devoted wife, loving caring mother, forever giving grandmother, she will be forever loved and missed.
