At Frank's request, there will be no Funeral Service held.
Its with great sorrow we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather on Saturday September 24, 2016 at Melfort Hospital at the age of 89 years. Frank was born October 3, 1926 to parents Eddy & Iola Armstrong. He attended public schools Rothwell & Jones.
Frank married Clara (Prenevost) on June 30, 1955. They lived on a farm at Resource, Sask.
Frank was a carpenter and helped build schools in Melfort, he also drove school bus for nine years for Reynolds Central. In 1972 they moved to Melfort where he continued his carpentry work until retirement.
Family always came first for Frank. In 1994 he bought a cabin at St. Brieux Lake where he enjoyed life at the lake with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching sports on T.V. In 2003 they moved back to Melfort, enjoying trips to B.C., Alberta, Manitoba. He especially enjoyed fishing and camping trips to northern Sask. In 2008 Frank and Clara went on a bus tour to the Yukon and Alaska.
Left to cherish Frank’s memory is his wife of 61 years Clara, sons Greg of Maple Ridge, B.C., Brett (Jessica), Jessica (Chris) of Riley, B.C.,
Garland (Kathy), Alissa (Michael) Laurinda of Winnipeg, MB.,Gary of St. Brieux, Sk, Sherry (Miles) Kai, Hunter, Brea of Meadow Lake, Sk. Daughters Wanda (Pat) of Melfort, Shaun (Danielle) McKenzie, Bentley of Saskatoon,SK, Wayne (Karen) Payton Ryder, Cruz of Melfort, SK. Wendy (John) Kovacs of Melfort, Sk, Leonard (Megan) of Prince Albert, Michael (Megan) of Melfort, Sk,
Sister Lylia (Jim) Archibald of Silver Park, Sk, Aunt Dorothy Fredin of Melfort, brother-in-law Floyd Gunter.
A large entended family and friends.
