Obituary
Grant Sinclair, beloved husband of Yvonne Sinclair of Kinistino passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the age of 74 years. Grant Alexander Sinclair was born Aug. 15, 1940 at the Arn’s family home which used to be Stan and Lonnie Sinclair’s farm. Grant took his schooling at Crescent Hill. Grant worked at the Kinistino Post to learn the printing trade. He moved to Moose Jaw to continue his apprenticeship. He received his journeyman’s while at the Times-Herald. He met and married Yvonne Sinclair in 1964 and they were together for 51 years. Grant worked at the Calgary Albertan, Mid-West Litho and the Western Producer in the late ‘60’s and ‘70’s before he decided to move the family back to Kinistino to return to his love of farming. He also started his own little farm with cattle, chicken, pigs and horses over the years. He worked for Flett's Spring C & D for many years. He helped farmers in the area. He worked for Andre Assie and finally decided to retire after 2014. Grant enjoyed working in the fields. Grant loved his grandchildren and as soon as they were young enough he would get his horse or the tractor for his grandchildren to teach the wisdom and knowledge he gained. While working on something or just sitting around, you could hear him humming. Some unknown tune. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Winnifred; and his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bill Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; daughter, Sheila (Wade), Chris Wiggins(Colleen) Emerson (Great Grand daughter), Brad Wiggins (Morgan), Amber Wiggins; daughter, Kim, Luc Gratton and Brady Gratton; brother, Dale and children; Mark, Trevor and families; brother, Keith (Wally) and children; Bryan and Shelley and families; Art, Doug, Terry Johnson and Sharlene (Johnson) Cowles and families; and numerous cousins. Funeral Services were held on Monday July 27, 2015 from the Kinistino Legion Hall with Gladys Court officiating. Interment followed at the Kinistino Cemetery.
