Obituary
Marc was born in Tisdale, SK on August 31, 1966 to Ernest and Marie Louise (nee Rocher) Rouault and grew up in St. Brieux where his family resided. Marc was the oldest of three children in the Rouault family.
Marc attended school in St. Brieux until Grade 10 and then finished his schooling in Melfort, SK. After graduating Marc remained in St. Brieux and worked at Bourgault Industries for several years. While living in St. Brieux Marc was a dedicated volunteer Firefighter and First Responder. He took great pride in all that he did and was never afraid to work hard.
Marc decided that it was time for a change and time to leave his home in St. Brieux to see what the country had to offer. He became a custom combiner and worked in the United States. From there he decided he wanted to see more of the country and became a long haul truck driver for Mid North Transport out of Saskatoon, SK. Marc was able to see most of Canada and much of the United States through this job. It was through this job that Marc met Rhonda and moved to Winnipeg, MB to be closer to her. Marc and Rhonda were married on July 05, 2003. On December 05, 2004 Marc welcomed his daughter Rain Patricia in to this world. Marc’s daughter was his greatest achievement. He loved her unconditionally and with his whole heart. Unfortunately Marc and Rhonda’s union did not last long, and the two parted ways. Although Marc may not have had the chance to be part of his daughter Rain’s life, she was always with him in his thoughts and in his heart. He always thought of her and hoped that one day they would be able to reconnect.
Marc remained in Winnipeg for several years, and it is here that his health began to deteriorate. Due to his health conditions Marc felt it best to move back to Saskatchewan to be closer with his family. Marc moved to Saskatoon in 2013 and resided at The Bentley Retirement Home where he remained until his passing. Though all his health struggles Marc never once lost his unique sense of humour. He LOVED to tease and joke around with all of his friends and family. He really enjoyed the time he spent with his Bentley family.
Marc loved so much in life; before his health problems prevented him from doing so, he would spend many hours outside whether it was boating, fishing or snowmobiling. The other activity Marc loved was playing cards. There was rarely a family visit that didn’t include at least a few games of cards (Gin Rummy being the favourite at most family functions). Marc was able to continue his love of card games when he moved to the Bentley. Many evenings were spent with his friends playing cards and learning new games that he shared with us after.
For Marc family meant everything. He loved his niece and nephews and enjoyed every opportunity to spend as much time with them as he could. Marc had a big heart and would do anything he could for all those that were part of his life. Marc loved hard and will be greatly missed. Those that knew Marc will remember his laugh, his sense of humour and his kind heart.
Marc will be lovingly remembered and missed by his parents Ernest and Marie Louise Rouault; his brother Claude (Kathy) Rouault, Scott, Rheal and Craig; his sister Michelle (Richard) Piatt, Ace, Rylan and Ariana; his daughter Rain Patricia Rouault; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends and his Bentley Family.
Memorial contributions in memory of Marc may be directed to the Canadian Diabetes Association Saskatchewan Division
