Obituary
Darryl Wayne Ford was born in Melfort, SK on January 19, 1949 to Harvey and Phyllis Ford. He took his schooling at Kirton School and Kinistino High School.
Darryl’s first job was with CJVR as an announcer. Darryl ventured forth in a variety of jobs over the years including underground potash mining, CP Railroad, police force, construction, chef training, cook at Waskesiu Golf Course, mobile site manager with Esso, Heartland Agro and Waldorf Ranch.
His interests included 4H Beef Club, playing and coaching ball and a variety of other sports. Darryl was interested in genealogy and did endless research in this field. He was an avid bird watcher and participated in numerous bird counts. Darryl “inherited’ several pets over the years. He was a masterful chef always trying something new to the delight of the guests. He had several favorites.
Darryl married Merle McLeod and had two children, Jo-Elle and Shane. Family was very important to Darryl. He never missed family gatherings.
Darryl is survived by his mother Phyllis Ford; his daughter Jo-Elle (Jordan) and children Shae-Lynn, Mitchell, Coltin; his son Shane; friend Linda and her children Meghan and Shanna and grandson Nathan; brothers Terry (Betty) daughter Teri-Lynn (Andrew) and their children Aubrey, Madeline, Sophie, Ayden and Ava and daughter Oneida; brother Roly (Gale); as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
Memorial contributions in memory of Darryl may be directed to a Charity of Choice.
