While sorting through some memorabilia today I cam across a couple of items related to Miss Appleton, my Grade 2 & 3 teacher in Kelowna in 1960, and thought I would see if I could find her on Google. I am so sorry to learn of her recent death - she was one of my favorite teachers and certainly the prettiest. Everyone in the class adored her. She even taught us a little French, although we never understood why "oui" could be pronounced "wee." My condolences to her family. I do have a photo from a 1960 Kelowna newspaper, showing Jean at a Burns night event. I would be happy to scan it or mail it to someone, if you would like.
