I did not know Steven prior to the awards ceremony on September 11, 2021 (being a spouse of a team that travelled from Alberta). As he was called up for the Anger of the Year Award, I instantly felt a connection. The first thing I noticed was Steven's black hat featuring a white cross, the second his smile. He was so proud to be a follower of God while celebrating his huge accomplishment. My heart has been aching for you all since we heard the news on our long drive home the next day, as were many hearts of anglers in Alberta. You are all in our thoughts, prayers, and conversations we continue to have each day. May you find comfort in knowing many of us from Alberta wish we could be there to support you all as you wish your final farewell. Forever in our hearts. Tight lines fellas.
