Brian was born on July 20, 1960 to Dave and Florence Bushman and grew up in the Murphy Creek district. He attended School in Gronlid. After High School, Brian took a Business Course at SIAST in Prince Albert. He married Karen Badgley and had two sons, Sheldon and Tyler. He worked at the Co-op in Codette for a while and then they moved to Carrot River, where he was Manager at the Carrot River Co-op. Eventually, they moved back to the area to the family farm. In 2000, Brian married Susan Madaski and welcomed her three children, Tyler, Crystal and Harley. On March 15, 2001, his family was completed when Amy was born. Brian loved the outdoors. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing a variety of sports including hockey, football and ping pong, etc. In his later years, he was a huge Saskatchewan Roughrider fan. He also regularly watched the World Wrestling Entertainment. He made sure they had a large garden and enjoyed canning in the Fall. He loved cooking and was very good at it. He loved helping his cousin with farming and jumped at the chance to drive the combine. Tractor videos always entertained him as well as games on his tablet. A highlight for him was chatting with his 6 Grandchildren. Visiting with family and friends was very important to him. Brian had a unique sense of humor. Even on his worst days, he could find the humor in any situation. He was a blunt man. You didn’t have to guess what he was thinking. To understand him, you really had to get to know him. He had a soft soul but a tough exterior. Brian was predeceased by his parents Dave and Florence Bushman. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Susan, sons Sheldon and Tyler, daughter Amy, stepchildren Tyler, Crystal and Harley and 6 Grandchildren Kayla, Sarah, Emily, Sydney, Dominic, and Jack as well as his sister Frances, her husband Phil and their sons Jordan and Jonathan. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday July 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethany Mennonite Cemetery. Memorial Donation May be directed to the Bethany Mennonite Church Lost River, Saskatchewan.
