Elsie was born in Star City on July 7, 1931 to Janet & Fred Wright. Elsie received her education at Irvington School. As a young women, Elsie worked at the Star City Echo Office, Melfort News Agency and Nelson’s Royalite. On October 17, 1949 she married Carl Pedersen from South Star. They had three children, Brenda, Judy and Bonnie. They made their home on a farm in Queens Park District. In the spring Carl and Elsie would travel to California to purchase bees and spent their summers farming and beekeeping. Carl and Elsie spent 20 winters in Texas where Elsie enjoyed bingo, cards and outdoor shuffleboard. In 2001 Carl and Elsie retired and moved to their home in Melfort. She then moved to Diefenbaker Tower in September of 2015. Elsie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who spent countless hours playing crib and crokinole with her family. She is loving remembered by her children; Brenda (Ken) Tegstrom, Judy (Marc) Francon, Bonnie (Barry) Roberts. Her grandchildren Rod Tegstrom (Tyra), Preston Tegstrom, Kendra Tegstrom (Leonard), Brad Francon, Devin (Drew) Francon, Brennen Francon, Jordan Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Josh Roberts. Great grandchildren Paiton, Aidyn, Travin, Michael, Ava. Brother Archie, Sisters–in-law Elsie Hamilton & Dolly Pedersen, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Carl, sister Margaret and brother Archie, Gordon & Ab.
