Bernice was born on May 11, 1931 in Glen Mary District by Kinistino. She is the fourth child of six to Alfred & Theresa (Hanson) Boe. She attended Pahonan School for Grade 1 to 10 and left school to work for various employers as a housekeeper. Bernice met Clarence Stene and they were married in 1949. Through the years they lived at Torch River, Nipawin, Beaver Lake, Denare Beach Reserve, Big River, Meadow Lake and final move was to Weldon.
Bernice had two sons, Greg in 1950 and Harley in 1959. They spent most of their family time as a young family in Meadow Lake. She also had two grandsons who she adored.
Bernice is a true Saskatchewan Roughrider fan and wouldn’t miss watching the Toronto Blue Jays. She took great pride as being part of the Weldon Elks and working many bingos.
Left to mourn are her grandson Reid Stene and daughter in law Gloria Stene, Her niece, nephews and their families Sharon Granrude, Les Loden, Rhonda Serviss, Kelly Oftedal, Beverly, Charlie & Marvin Boe, Chris & Thor Boe, special family friend Sandy & Evangeline Bell.
Bernice is predeceased by her two sons Harley & Greg (infant), her grandson Chad Stene, her husband Clarence Stene, her parents Alfred & Theresa Boe, her in laws Martin & Severina (Veum) Stene, her brothers Leif, Mervin and Morley, her sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia & Gust Loden, Shirley & Thelmer Oftedal.
