Obituary of Stewart Roy Hindley

Stewart Roy Hindley was born on June 8, 1955 to Walter and Effie Hindley. Stewart grew up on the family farm by Pathlow. He first began working at Bourgault Industries, followed by working in construction for several years. Stewart next got his realtor’s license, working mainly in the Melfort area. Stewart then spent a number of years working at St. Brieux Regional Park, running and maintaining the golf course, along with working at the Rec Centre maintaining the ice surface. Stewart was most recently employed at Dryair, working in purchasing.
Stewart spent many years travelling around the province with his boys when they were young, attending numerous hockey games and tournaments. He had many hobbies of his own, among them golfing, fishing, and gardening. Stewart was very handy, completing many projects around the house and lending his expertise to his sons’ home projects as well. Stewart and Yvonne spent the past few years taking yearly trips to Mexico, which Stewart always enjoyed. Most of all, Stewart loved spending time with his grandchildren, spending many weekends watching basketball, ball hockey, swimming, and visiting playgrounds.
Stewart will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Yvonne of 47 years; son Scott (Tabitha), Preston, Hudson, Levi, and Theoren of Martensville; son Derek (Kristen), Alister and Emilia of Warman. Brother Tom (Pat) Hindley; brothers-in-law Gerry (Marie) Leray, Roger (Cheryl) Leray, Oliver Albert; sisters-in-law Vivianne (Lyle) Folden, Janet Leray, Antoinette Leray; and numerous nephews and nieces who were all very special to him.
Stewart was predeceased by his parents Walter and Effie Hindley; sisters Margaret Myrheim and Pat Ravndahl; brother-in-law Glenn Myrheim; father and mother-in-law Jean and Louise Leray; sisters-in-law Marguerite Albert and Pat Leray; brothers-in-law Joseph Leray, Lucien Leray, and Norbie Leray.

Memorial contributions in memory of Stewart may be directed to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and or Beads of Courage  C/O Jim Pattison Children's Hospital  103 Hospital Drive Saskatoon, Sask. S7N 0W8
